Special Events and Collaborations
Herstorical Tours is always delighted to collaborate with partner organisations on special events that either educate on or celebrate women's history. This could include (but isn't limited to!) talks, performances and workshops.

In April 2025 I will be running two special Suffragette Live! events for the Bow Street Museum of Crime and Justice. On 6th April a family friendly workshop on the Suffragette campaign (with a singalong!) and on 11th April an evening performance in character as radical suffragette Kitty Marion. Info here.

For the last two years I have been giving a talk and performance for The Last Tuesday Society at the Viktor Wynd Museum in Hackney. I designed a short 1 hour presentation, a character monologue and a piece of spoken word for the event.

For Halloween 2024 I created a special performance and presentation for the Chelsea Physic Garden called Hex in the Garden about cunning women and their persecution during the witch trials. This was followed in March 2025 with a Mother's Day Special tour 'Bloomin' Women' of the Garden's botanical Herstory.

Similarly, on 8th March 2023 (International Women's Day) I was invited by the Museum of London to participate in a special event called Women: Witches and Wenches. I was honoured to perform for this event, produce a short lecture and chair a debate. We discussed the persecution and execution of women as witches throughout history.

"Maria has developed two bespoke events for us at Chelsea Physic Garden, each shaped by her captivating storytelling, deep historical insight, and magnetic presence. Her work has resonated powerfully with our audiences, contributing to two sold-out events. Maria’s creativity and dedication make her a truly standout collaborator. She’s a joy to work with, and it’s a real privilege to witness her bring stories so vividly to life. I’d highly recommend her."
