Hello beautiful people! I hope your March wasn’t too dramatic! Mine was, well…🫠
It started off well enough, with a great and well attended Sinners Saints and Saviours tour in the sunshine at the beginning of the month, but then I was plagued by an arm injury after a fall, followed by the world’s worst flu, forcing me to cancel my beloved (and sold out!) Hex and the City tour, and Votes for Women tour! Argh! But fortunately it picked up with a glorious Mother’s Day event for the Chelsea Physic Garden - Bloomin’ Women. With a nice intimate group we explored the herstories of women in botany throughout the ages. And we had blazing sunshine too. A pic and reviews below.
Huge apologies to those booked on the cancelled events but hopefully I’ll see you on a tour in April or beyond…

April is also busy and hopefully not plagued with unexpected calamities!
Here’s what’s on:
SUFFRAGETTES AFTER DARK: The Fight for Hope
April is all about the suffragettes at the Bow street Police Museum. That’s why on 6th and 11th April I will be bringing live character performances to the museum as part of their Suffragette Live! programme.
On 6th April, I will be leading two 20-30 minute family friendly storytelling performances as a suffragette. You will hear about the details of the campaign, some of the protest songs they sang, and you’ll get a flag to wave and we’ll even finish with a little sing-along all together!
But leave the kids at home on 11th April, because that evening I will be transforming into Kitty Marion, radical militant suffragette, actress and arsonist. I’ll give a short performance as Kitty, followed by an optional Q&A. The evening will also feature:
Author Jennifer Godfrey talking about her book Secret Missions of the Suffragettes: Glass Breakers and Safe Houses
Objects from the propaganda battles between the suffragettes and their detractors
A ‘make your own’ suffragette rosette workshop
‘Hope’ the Lego Suffragette, a full-size model commissioned by the House of Commons to celebrate the centenary of votes for women.
So definitely not one to miss IMHO! Click the button below for more information and how to book each event directly from the Museum website.

What else is on in April?
Full list of public tours are here. Click on each one to get more info.
17th April - Harlots, Strumpets and Tarts Oh My!
25th April - Hex and the City
As always, if it’s a private tour you’re after on a specific date, do reach out directly and we’ll discuss!
Right well I’ll leave it there lest I jinx it. I’ll be back mid month with a HERSTORY blog. If you do enjoy the blogs, they are also shared to my website so feel free to like and share.
Enjoy April and it’s (hopefully) sunny spring days!
